Enhancing Video Content: How We Helped Mark Brooks Elevate His Digital Strategy

How we worked with a leading Education Consultant on a training and support package for self-produced video assets


Background - how it came together


  • Mark Brooks, Founder of Mark Brooks Education, has leveraged social media channels and newsletters to build a client database of parents looking for UK boarding schools for their children.  

  • He often produces short videos at his overseas events or with schools around the UK.  

  • Having mastered the basics of creating video content, he wanted to work with us to take his content to the next level with enhanced editing skills and techniques used by our professional design team.  

  • He also wanted to unlock more benefits from utilising YouTube for a back catalogue of over 100+ videos currently hosted on Vimeo.  Hosting videos on Vimeo did not derive any of the benefits that YouTube offers.    

  • Mark also wanted advice on growing his LinkedIn following and building his Newsletter distribution list.

Objectives


  • To undertake a deep dive with Chris Mathison on Premiere Pro help Mark upskill using this editing software.

  • To understand how to set up and optimise a YouTube channel that supports his brand online and drives new enquiries.  

  • Consider how new content styles could be created to perform on YouTube and other social channels.    

  • To provide insight on Linkedin and the best way for Mark to leverage the content created to build his audience on social channels.



Solutions


  • The team spent 2 training days with Mark at our offices in Brighton.  The first in December and a follow-up session in July.  

  • The agenda for each day was tailored to Mark’s requirements and the areas he wanted to focus on.  Chris & the creative team tailored the session content to those fields. 

  • We supplied Mark with follow-up notes from the training so he has comprehensive documents to refer back to.  

  • David advised Mark on a range of strategies for growing his personal and corporate following on Linkedin, including using Sales Navigator and third-party solutions.  


Benefits


  • Mark was able to improve his use of Premiere Pro and become more confident in editing. Chris and the team remain available to him for any follow-up questions and ad hoc support.

  • He can elevate his content and produce more professional & compelling content, independently.  

  • In creating his YouTube channel, he is opening up a whole new commercial area for his business and helping drive new enquiries from his target customers.  

  • He is trailing new tools on Linkedin to see if they can help expand his following and engage new customers for upcoming events.
